Storybook Land Rides

Storybook Land is a completely free attraction and hours of fun can be had at the park without spending a single penny.

But a turn on the carousel or a thrill ride on the roller coaster can up the enjoyment for just a few dollars.

Storybook Land Rides have little kids in mind. They each have different height requirements but generally allow preschoolers and older, especially when accompanied by an adult.

Take a spin on these Storybook Land Rides:

Storybook Land Express Train

  • This train ride circles the park and is a great way to start and end any trip to Storybook Land. The loop is roughly 1 mile and passes the zoo and goes through a tunnel.
  • This ride is suitable for all ages with adult supervision.

Humpty Dumpty Roller Coaster

  • A small gravity coaster loops around its track several times, getting as high as 20 feet in the air before the ride ends.
  • This ride does have height requirements, even when accompanied by an adult.

The Wizard’s Balloon Ride

  • After exploring the Land of Oz, head back to Kansas on one of eight balloons. This ride spins high in the air giving a birds eye view of Storybook Land and Wylie Park.
  • This ride does have height requirements, even when accompanied by an adult.

Land of Oz Carousel

  • This classic carousel features hand-painted and hand-carved lions, tigers, and bears.
  • This ride is suitable for most ages with adult supervision.

Tea Cups

  • Take a spin in a teacup. This smaller ride has a tilt-a-whirl type motion, allowing the rider to control some of the spin.
  • This ride is suitable for most ages with adult supervision.

Rio Grande Train

  • This miniature train takes riders around a small track.
  • This ride is suitable for most ages with adult supervision.

Coming soon! Barnyard Ride
