The Cramer Center for Design and Innovation Fourth Annual Board Meeting

The Cramer Center for Design and Innovation and HDR, Inc. will be sponsoring presentations by industry-leaders for this year’s Board of Directors meeting.

We are pleased to welcome architects Peter Calthorpe and Tye Farrow as our keynote speakers. Peter Calthorpe is an award-winning urban designer, author, and leading architect at HDR. Tye Farrow is an author and Senior Partner of Farrow Partners, currently studying for a PhD in Design Development and Mental Health to further his expertise.

These events are free and open to the public. Our agenda is as noted:

  • Building Better Communities: Big or Small
    • What makes a community a place where people want to stay? The answer may have less to do with population size than we think.Drawing from decades of work designing communities around the world, Peter Calthorpe will explore how principles like walkability, connectivity, thoughtful growth, and a strong sense of place can apply just as meaningfully in rural communities. This session looks at how towns can grow and evolve while protecting the character, landscape, and quality of life that make them work calling home.
