2026 South Dakota Class B State Boys Basketball Tournament

Each spring, the Barnett Center in Aberdeen transforms into one of the loudest, proudest venues in South Dakota prep sports as Class B’s top high school boys basketball teams converge to compete for the state championship. Over three days, Wachs Arena hosts a full slate of games — including quarterfinals, semifinals, consolation matchups, and the championship — showcasing the passion and intensity of small-school basketball. Fans fill the stands to cheer on fast breaks, clutch shooting, and gritty defense as rivalries both old and new play out on the hardwood. For many players, coaches, and communities, State B is more than a tournament — it’s a celebration of teamwork, school pride and the season’s journey. Aberdeen’s reputation for warm hospitality and a lively tournament atmosphere makes the weekend a highlight of the South Dakota high school sports calendar.

Adult general admission tickets are $15 per session, which includes two games, or $50 for a tournament pass that provides access to all the excitement throughout the weekend. Student passes are $10 per session or $30 for a tournament pass.
