Al-Anon teaches hope. It is a non-profit international organization that was created for family members who are dealing with a family member battling alcoholism. Al-Anon is a confidential fellowship of people that come together for help because their loved one’s drinking is affecting them. It’s often difficult to see someone we care for spiral into addiction. We feel hurt, angry, sad, and altogether lost. Not only does the alcoholic need help in addressing their challenges, struggles and illness, but the family also deserves the same opportunity.
