At 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 9, the Northern State University Music Department will present its Spring Jazz Concert in the Johnson Fine Arts Center Jewett Theater.

The concert will feature the 1 O’clock Jazz Ensemble, directed by Dr. Terry Beckler, and the 2 O’clock Jazz Ensemble, Directed by Dr. Grant Manhart. Guest artists with the 2 O’clock Jazz Ensemble will be local pianist Ron Parker; visiting traveling nurse and jazz and pop singer “Izzy”; professor of woodwinds and jazz, Fritz Hemke; and Dr. Travis Netzer, professor of low brass and bands.
