  1. 2013 Children's Exhibits - Dacotah Prairie Museum

    February 9 - April 7 @ Dacotah Prairie Museum

    Dacotah Prairie Museum has opened its 2013 Children's Exhibits, two of which (Light & Color and Animals As Architects) are rented from the Discovery Center in Pierre. The Frontier Town Life Exhibit created by DPM staff is also available. These exhibits take up the entire north side of the second floor and will be open through April 7. There's lots of hands-on learning available in all areas. Special tours and/or programs around these displays can be arranged by calling Sherri at 626-7117. If you have children or grandchildren, these exhibits are a great way to spend a cold winter day!

  2. SD Short Course Swimming Championship

    March 1, 11:00 AM - March 3, 6:00 PM @ Aberdeen Family YMCA

    The SD Short Course Swimming Championship is a qualifying meet where state times must be achieved to participate. There are usually 488 swimmers plus families that attend this event.

  3. "Amour" presented by the Capitol Cinema

    March 1, 7:30 PM - March 7, 9:30 PM @ Capitol Theatre

    Georges and Anne are in their eighties. They are cultivated, retired music teachers. Their daughter, who is also a musician, lives abroad with her family. One day, Anne has an attack. The couple's bond of love is severely tested. PG - 13 Running time is 127 minutes.

  5. Black and White Ball - Presentation College

    March 2, All Day @ Ramkota Convention Center

    Join us for a night of Hollywood style, and red carpet treatment! Presentation College presents "A True Classic", Black and White Ball is a fundraiser for student scholarships.   6. "He Was President, Wasn't He?" - book signing for author William P. Hild

    March 2, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Dacotah Prairie Museum

    Aberdeen author, William P. Hild has compiled what he calls a series of "Smart-alec lectures I never gave on American presidents" into a book entitled "He Was President, Wasn't He?" Hild will be at the museum to sign books, answer questions, and visit with guests about the 11 presidents he features in this book. The book is available at DPM for $19.95 plus tax.
